Milwaukee Clinical Staff provides the following outpatient and in-home mental health counseling services.
Kenneth Erdmann, MD
Dr. Erdmann provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management reviews for clients seven years and older. Dr. Erdmann specializes in the treatment of major depression, panic and generalized anxiety disorders, phobias, PTSD, ADHD, dyslexia, eating disorders as well as other major mental illnesses.
Michelle Harris, Psy.D.
Dr. Harris received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She has extensive experience working as a therapist and conducting psychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Harris has a lengthy history of employment in correctional settings, working with both adolescent and adult populations, and she continues to provide therapy and assessment services for the Department of Corrections. Dr. Harris previously worked as a staff psychologist in the Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) at Oshkosh Correctional Institution where she facilitated sex offender groups and conducted mental health screenings. She has also completed internships at Ethan Allen, worked at a community mental health center, a male juvenile correctional facility in Illinois, and a female adult forensic unit of a state hospital.
Charles Lawler, MA, MSW, LMFT
Charles received his Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health in August 2000 from the UW of Illinois – Urbana Champaign. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He also holds a MA in Art History from UW-Milwaukee. Charles provides additional training in reactive attachment disorder. He provides emotionally focused therapy for couples. Charles finds fulfillment in working with a variety of populations from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and especially enjoys providing in-home services, when possible, for those unable to access traditional clinical services.
Maria del Carmen Rangel Tapia, MS, LMFT, CSAC
Maria received her Masters of Science in Education in 1999. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has direct experience working with 6 – 18 year old children and youth, during crisis (truancy, runaways, alcohol/drug issues, lack of communication with parents, identity crisis, ADHD assessments and behavioral modifications), short term and long term counseling, either individual or with their families at home or in the office, in collaboration with other health professionals, the school system, or other community agencies as needed. Maria is fluent in Spanish. Maria is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor.
Maria Lozano, MSW, LCSW
Maria is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. Her practice has focused on conducting evaluations on children, adolescents and adults. The clientele present with a wide range of psychological and psychosocial problems, including mood and anxiety diagnoses to severe and persistent disorders, as well as schizophrenia. Maria utilizes an engaging, informative, and at time humorous approach with her clientele when identifying methods to manage or alleviate symptoms. She continually demonstrates compassion, empathy, reliability, enthusiasm, and a need to maintain the highest standard possible.
Joel Kozlowski, MSW, APSW
Joel has over 10 years of professional experience working with children, adolescents, and adults utilizing a solution-focused, narrative therapy approach. He received his Master of Social Work Degree with a specialization in Behavioral and Physical Health and a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Joel has a Master of Arts Degree from Cardinal Stritch College, occasionally using art therapy as an appropriate counseling medium and healing intervention. He enjoys assisting clients work through life challenges such as anger management, depression, family reunification, and grief related issues.
Shannon O’Brien, MSW, LCSW, CSAC
Shannon received her Master's in Social Work from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1998. She has also received her certification in AODA counseling in 1995. Shannon has worked in acute inpatient mental health in Corrections at the Milwaukee County Jail and the House of Corrections. She has worked in AODA residential and outpatient therapy with the homeless, AODA, individual, family and group. She is also a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor.
Tejuana King, MSW, LCSW, CSAC
Ms. King received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She has provided therapeutic services to a diverse population, with emphasis in women’s issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse and substance abuse. She has experience facilitating Batter’s Treatment groups and AODA groups. She has experience in Motivational Enhancement Therapy. Tejuana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor.
Barbara Tripp, MS, CSAC
Barbara is a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor. She has provided Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) treatment in residential and correctional settings, outpatient arrangements, and in in-home settings since 1996. She has been providing AODA treatment since 1989. Barbara provides AODA assessments and individual AODA counseling for at-risk children and adults.
